GABL Future Gray 2030 Wins Viking Invitational

(SHAWNEE, KS) - The GABL Future 2030 Gray team started their Winter season off with a championship in the 5th grade division of the Viking Invitational at Shawnee Mission West High School on November 13th. The young squad defeated the KC Heat in their first game of the tournament 39 - 28 to get the ball rolling. They followed up their opening win with a 34-25 win over the Ballhawks and a 69-12 victory over MoKan to secure the championship. "The boys played great help defense all weekend," said Coach Taylor Stoetzer," We are learning how to use our voice on defense and the energy from the bench was a game changer for us!" 
The GABL Future 2030 Black team also competed in the Viking Invitational in the 5th/6th grade division. The 20230 Black team won their first two games defeating GSF 2030 41-23 in game 1 and MoKan 35-27 in game 2. The 2030 Black team would eventually fall in the championship game 47-30. Both Future 2030 teams will compete in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at Hy-Vee Arena this weekend.
